OREANDA-NEWS Recently, the structure of the Russian labor market has changed dramatically, taking into account the sharply increased demand of domestic companies for skilled workers. This was stated by the Governor of the Kaluga Region, head of the State Council Commission on Personnel, Vladislav Shapsha. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Currently, the most sought-after specialists are representatives of working professions, he explained. They account for two thirds (65-70 percent) of the total demand for workers. "The balance in the market is significantly shifted towards working professions," Shapsha stated.

SuperJob noted that designers, technologists and mechanics are in high demand among Russian employers. The construction industry requires electricians, electric and gas welders, plumbing fitters, design engineers and cost estimators. As for the industrial sector, there will remain a need for locksmiths, electricians and turners.

Engineers are another popular category of workers, explained the head of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Science) Valery Falkov. The salary level of highly qualified specialists, he noted, is one of the highest.
