OREANDA-NEWS  The UN-001 drone, which is an analog of a combat drone, was developed in Russia. The product is intended for use in training centers, said Viktor Lobanov, Director General of NPO Neolit, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He noted that drone operators are currently being trained on combat vehicles. According to the NGO representative, 5-6 lost drones account for one graduation of cadets. Therefore, the organization has developed a training UN-001, which can withstand up to 150 hard landings. The cost of a training vehicle is comparable to the price of a combat drone.

According to Lobanov, the use of UN-001 can reduce costs during the initial training of unmanned systems specialists. "The company deliberately went to make a training projectile, rather than a fragile expensive drone, so during a hard landing, the impact energy is damped by deforming the dampers, and replacing the propeller takes a few minutes," he said.
