This was announced on January 12 by the first deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky in his telegram channel.

Polyansky clarified that the meeting of the UN Security Council on Ukraine, initiated by Moscow, will begin on January 17 at 23:00 Moscow time. 

"I will not talk about what will happen in the Security Council from our submission on Ukraine at the beginning of next week — let our opponents live in ignorance for now," Polyansky wrote, pointing out that the Russian side has already "accustomed" its opponents that any meeting of an anti—Russian orientation should be answered to an inconvenient one for them. subject.
