OREANDA-NEWS Russia has been living under the burden of illegal sanctions for years and has learned how to minimize their consequences, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, the head of the US Treasury, Scott Bessent, said that the United States would not renew licenses that temporarily granted the right to purchase Russian oil during the Iranian conflict.

"It is not the first month or the first year that we have been living under the burden of sanctions, which we consider illegal from the point of view of international law. And we have already learned how to act in such a way as to minimize the consequences of such measures for our interests. We will continue to do so," Peskov told reporters, commenting on the statement by the US Treasury.
