Russia has proposed extending zero duties on fuel imports to the EAEU

OREANDA-NEWS Russia has proposed extending for a year, until June 30, 2027, the current zero rates of import customs duties on imports of gasoline, jet fuel, diesel and marine fuel to the EAEU countries, according to the materials for the draft decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
"To establish the rates of import customs duties of the single customs tariff of the Eurasian Economic Union, approved by the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission of September 14, 2021 No. 80, in relation to motor gasoline... fuel for jet engines... diesel fuel... marine fuel... and other gas oil... in the amount of 0% of the customs value from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 inclusive," the draft decision of the EEC Council says.
"The Eurasian Economic Commission has received an initiative proposal from the Russian Federation to extend the zero rates of import customs duties," the materials specify.
The zero rate is valid from October 2025 to June 30, 2026 inclusive.
"The measure is aimed at the stable supply of fuel to the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union in conditions of seasonal growth in demand for it, including for agricultural harvesting field work," explains the materials for the project.
The discussion of the proposal to extend the zero rates will last until June 25.
