OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Interior Ministry has put on the wanted list the head of the armed formation "Georgian National Legion" Ushanga Mamulashvili, who is fighting on the side of Ukraine. This is reported by TASS.

The legionnaire was brought to criminal responsibility by Russian law enforcement agencies for recruiting mercenaries into an illegal armed formation against the interests of the country.

On July 28, the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) prosecuted in absentia over 70 mercenaries of the Georgian Legion. It was created by Mamulashvili in 2014 from among his compatriots to participate in hostilities against the republics of Donbass.

The TFR conducts criminal prosecution of 160 mercenaries from 33 countries, including Georgia, the USA, Latvia, Sweden.
