OREANDA-NEWS  Russia has returned 103 fighters from Kiev-controlled territory, the Defense Ministry said.

"In return, 103 prisoners of war of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were transferred," the ministry said.

The Russians are currently in Belarus, and Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova is working with them. She clarified that for the first time in a long time, 31 wounded people were returned from captivity. Soon, all the fighters will be taken to their homeland, where they will undergo treatment and rehabilitation in medical institutions of the Ministry of Defense.

The Ministry also noted that the United Arab Emirates had undertaken humanitarian mediation efforts.
The previous prisoner exchange took place on June 26 according to the 160 for 160 formula.
