OREANDA-NEWS  Alcohol production in Russia in 2022 reached a record level of 1.11 billion decaliters, which is 2.2 percent more than a year earlier. Dimitri Burtsev, assistant to the head of Rosalkogolregulirovanie, told about this during the forum "Russian Retail Week 2023", RIA Novosti reports.

Of the total volume, 800 million decaliters are for beer, 100 million for beer drinks, 200 million for everything else. At the same time, according to the official, the import of alcoholic beverages for the same period fell by 11 percent, to 95 million decaliters, and exports increased to 44 million.

In January, Rosalkogolregulirovanie reported that in 2022, the production of alcoholic beverages excluding beer, beer drinks, cider, poiret and mead increased by 9.8 percent, to 199.5 million decaliters.

Earlier it became known that due to sanctions, vodka exports in the first quarter of 2023 fell by 77 percent year-on-year, to 752 thousand liters in terms of pure alcohol. At the same time, vodka sales in early 2023 decreased in Russia, at the same time, the consumption of champagne increased at the same time.
