OREANDA-NEWS By the middle of this month, Russia had exported 39.8 million tons of grain. This was stated by Arkady Zlochevsky, President of the Russian Grain Union. He was quoted by Interfax.

According to him, if compared with the figures for the same date last year, exports decreased by 2.2 times. Wheat supplies to the foreign market amounted to just over 32 million tons.

In this regard, Zlochevsky doubted that the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture for the export of 57 million tons of grain this season would come true. Even taking into account the full sample of wheat quotas, two regional corn quotas, and possible shipments to the states of the Eurasian Economic Union to which the quota does not apply, no more than 12 million tons may be added to the volume already shipped.

"57 million tons are not being collected in any way," Zlochevsky stated.
