OREANDA-NEWS According to the results of the agricultural season (from July 1, 2025 to July 1, 2026), Russia supplied about 46.5 million tons of wheat abroad, maintaining its leadership among crop exporters, the Agroexport Federal Center reported.
"In the past season, despite high competition, Russia supplied about 46.5 million tons of wheat to the world market, retaining its leadership among key crop exporters," the report says.
According to the center, such results were achieved not only due to an increase in the gross wheat harvest in Russia in 2025, but also due to an increase in import demand from traditional buyers.
"Thus, wheat exports to Turkey increased significantly – to about 7.3 million tons (an increase of 2.2 times by the 2024/25 season), as well as Sudan – to 2.2 million tons (an increase of two times). Egypt (an increase of 6%) and Israel (21%) are also among the trading partners that have increased purchases," Agroexport said.
