Russia was warned about the threat from the east

OREANDA-NEWS A NATO-like military community is being formed in the Asia-Pacific region, which is likely to be led by Japan. Military analyst Alexei Leonkov warned about the threat in a conversation with Tsargrad.
According to him, legislative changes are being discussed in Japan, the powers of the army are being expanded, new branches of the armed forces are being created, and the structure of the armed forces (AF) is increasingly resembling the American model. "It's no coincidence that the new Prime Minister of Japan [Sanae] Takaichi is pursuing a certain policy in parliament, which can be called the revival of Japanese militarism," the expert noted.
Leonkov added that along with the political changes in the country, large-scale rearmament is also taking place. We are talking about the deployment of American complexes, the appearance of medium-range missiles, Tomahawk cruise missiles and other systems capable of hitting targets at a distance of about a thousand kilometers. Thus, the eastern country is preparing for war with Russia, China and North Korea, the analyst suggested.
At the end of June, the US and Japanese Armed Forces worked out ways to capture and protect disputed islands during the annual Resolute Dragon exercises on the Japanese island of Kyushu. The servicemen conducted live firing with rifles and mortars at a number of targets at different distances.
