OREANDA-NEWS  Russia will always find a buyer for its critically important minerals, despite EU sanctions, Dmitry Birichevsky, director of the Department of Economic Cooperation at the Russian Foreign Ministry, told RIA Novosti.

"We also have such raw materials, such minerals, and we have always been a reliable supplier for those who are interested in it. We never refused. If someone doesn't want to buy it, it's their right, their choice. Here, again, raw materials are scarce, not everyone has them, critical minerals. Therefore, we will always find a buyer, we have no problems with this," the diplomat said.

On April 23, the European Union announced a new, twentieth package of sanctions against Russia, expanding restrictions in the energy sector, including oil production, refining and transportation, and has already announced work on the 21st package of anti-Russian sanctions. The Russian Federation has repeatedly stated that the country will cope with the sanctions pressure that the West began to exert on Russia several years ago and continues to strengthen.
