OREANDA-NEWS  Russia is ready to work out applications for the supply of combat aircraft to Turkey if Ankara is interested in this, said Yuri Pilipson, director of the fourth European department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, quoted by RIA Novosti.

According to the diplomat, if Turkey is interested in acquiring Russian military products, Moscow will work out the relevant requests.

Pilipson noted that Russia has repeatedly stated that domestic enterprises are able to completely cover the needs of their own army in any areas, including high-tech ones. At the same time, according to the diplomat, the possibility of using someone else's developments is not excluded.

Earlier, the head of the Turkish Defense Industry Department, Ismail Demir, said that Ankara may consider purchasing Russian Su-35 fighters if the deal on the American F-16 fails.
