OREANDA-NEWS  Russia has won a dispute with Ukraine over the rights of a coastal state in the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait, the Foreign Ministry said.

The arbitration, consisting of five independent arbitrators from Algeria, Great Britain, Mexico, Russia and the Republic of Korea, rendered a unanimous decision. The case, which has a major geopolitical, international legal and historical dimension, ended with a convincing victory for the Russian Federation," the agency wrote on its website.

The ministry said that today in The Hague the final decision on the case, which lasted ten years, was announced. Efforts to challenge Russia's sovereignty over Crimea and surrounding waters have failed.
