OREANDA-NEWS In Yekaterinburg, doctors saved the eyesight of an African student from Côte d'Ivoire. This is reported by Ura.ru to the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.
Lidia Filatieva, head of the ophthalmology department at CGKB No. 6, said that first-year student Kader Diaby complained to doctors about constant pain, double vision and blurred vision. According to her, he was poorly oriented in space, and also could not read and write. In addition, he had edema, diffuse toxic goiter and thyrotoxicosis.
. Experts called this case unique because of the patient's age.
So, during the examination, doctors performed an MRI scan of the eyes. Based on this, the patient was prescribed pulse therapy and medication, which included antibiotics, antiseptics, and drops. As a result of the treatment, the student's double vision and pain stopped, and his eyesight improved. "I am very, very, very grateful to everyone, satisfied and happy that they helped me feel comfortable again and gave me the opportunity to continue my studies. I also managed to improve my knowledge of the Russian language," the young man shared his impressions of the treatment.
Earlier it was reported that Marina Utyaganova, a doctor from Kaliningrad, received the prestigious "Best Nutritionist-Nutritionist 2025" award.
