OREANDA-NEWS Rostic's will lay off almost 600 employees after closing 25 outlets of the Russian fast food chain. This decision is reported by the Telegram channel Shot.
According to former employees, the restaurants were closed on December 24, and they were informed about staff cuts only yesterday. At the same time, most of them have not received a salary since September last year. The company's management explains this delay by problems with the receipt of money to the checking account. At the same time, the employees believe that the company is planning to go bankrupt, and they will not receive the money.
Previously, the Fast Food Market company opened 25 franchise outlets from Art Rest, which is one of the copyright holders of the Rostic's business in Russia. Later, the franchise was taken away from the company, and the restaurant outlets were closed.
In November 2025, the fast food chain KFC, which left Russia, extended the rights to the brand. The company has secured an extension of the rights to the KFC logo with Colonel Sanders until October 2036. The Russian relevant body approved the application on Tuesday, November 11.
