OREANDA-NEWS Russian tankers of the group of troops covering the border do not allow fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to gain a foothold near Kharkov and in the border areas. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the commander of the tank battalion.
"The enemy comes closer to the border and starts digging in. To prevent the enemy from digging in, we inflict fire damage on him so that he cannot gain a foothold in this place," he explained.
Tankers attacked the AFU stronghold near Kharkov. They made the first sighting shot, after which the operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) transmitted the correction of coordinates, and subsequent shots destroyed the target.
Earlier, Russian servicemen successfully evacuated the first M1 Abrams tank from the front line. Alexander Savchuk, head of the press center of the Center group of forces, said that soon everyone will be able to see the American combat vehicle at the exhibition on Poklonnaya Gora.
