OREANDA-NEWS  Russian troops in the course of a special military operation (SVO) hit more than 1.3 thousand critical objects of Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia Valery Gerasimov on December 22. 

"As part of the operation, more than 1,300 critically important objects were hit by high—precision long-range missiles," Gerasimov said at a briefing to military attaches of foreign states.

From the very beginning of the special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine, the fighting has been fierce. This was stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces (AF) of Russia Valery Gerasimov, whose words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

"It should be noted that the fighting unfolded over a vast territory and was fierce from the very beginning," the serviceman said.

According to him, control over the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) was established as a result of active offensive actions of groups of troops. Mariupol was taken with minimal losses. In addition, it was possible to establish control over the coast of the Sea of Azov, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
