OREANDA-NEWS Russians expelled from foreign universities will be able to continue their studies at leading universities of Russia for free, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation reported. The list of universities that are ready to accept expelled students includes at least seven of the largest universities and institutes in Russia, which are located in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The cases of expulsion of Russians from foreign universities became known after the start of the military operation in Ukraine.

Among the universities mentioned by the Ministry of Education and Science, there are:

Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU);

Saint Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg State University);

Higher School of Economics (HSE);

Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPhI);

Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT);

Bauman Moscow State Technical University (MSTU);

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and many others.

The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Tatiana Moskalkova, announced cases of expulsion from European universities of students from Russia in connection with the situation in Ukraine.

"People who are just doing their job, trying to live in difficult conditions, support a family, are being attacked because of their nationality. Embittered foreigners insult schoolchildren and students from Russia on social networks. Russians Instagram The residents of Europe and the United States blame them for what is happening in Ukraine only because they are Russians," the Ombudsman wrote on Instagram.
