OREANDA-NEWS Russians have flocked to Israel en masse, with over 70,000 domestic tourists visiting the country in 2024. This was reported to Interfax by the press service of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism.
The ministry noted that Russia ranks fourth in terms of tourist traffic to Israel in January-December 2024. "Over the past year, 72.6 thousand Russian tourists have visited the country," the report says. — Now we are actively working to restore the tourist flow."
In total, 961 thousand travelers visited the country in 2024. The leading position was occupied by guests from the USA (330.3 thousand people) by a wide margin. They are followed by France (130.7 thousand) and Great Britain (79.1 thousand).
Earlier, a Russian traveler visited Israel and described some of the features of the local houses with the phrase "pop your eyes." The girl said that in this country, a mezuzah is hung at the entrance to the house — a special case containing a scroll of parchment with words from the Torah. It is customary to kiss her when entering or exiting.
