OREANDA-NEWS Overdue wage arrears in Russia at the end of December 2025 amounted to 2 billion 27.2 million rubles and increased by 256.8 million rubles, or 14.5%, compared with November, Rosstat reported on Wednesday.

Compared to December 2024, salary debts increased by 1 billion 134.6 million rubles, or 2.3 times.

Of the total unpaid wages at the end of December 2025, debts incurred in 2025 accounted for 1 billion 597.5 million rubles (78.8%), in 2024 - 320.1 million rubles (15.8%), in 2023 and earlier - 109.6 million rubles (5.4%).

Wage arrears from the federal budget at the end of December amounted to 0.9 million rubles, from the budgets of the subjects - 262.6 million rubles, local budgets - 0.4 million rubles.

Wage arrears due to the lack of own funds from enterprises at the end of December amounted to 1 billion 763.3 million rubles.

The main debt owed to employees by type of economic activity was in construction - 23.7%; activities in the field of health and social services - 16.6%; manufacturing - 15.4%; education - 9.1%.
