OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian Sitronics Group, together with the National Technological Initiative (NTI) and the Faculty of Chemistry of Lomonosov Moscow State University, will develop environmental monitoring services using remote sensing data. This was reported to TASS on Friday in the press service of Sitronics Group.

"Sitronics Group will develop services for monitoring the state of farmland to control land use rules and monitor the state of green spaces in the city. The platforms are being developed within the framework of a consortium of IT companies, NTI and Lomonosov Moscow State University," the message reads.

Pavel Dreiger, Vice President for Software Products and Solutions at Sitronics Group, noted that the services being developed should become technological support for environmental decision-making. "The goal of the project is to reduce the influence of the human factor in assessing the consequences of anthropogenic impact on the environment," the press service quoted him as saying.

According to Sitronics, remote sensing data will allow analyzing the state of farmland and the work that is being carried out on them, tracking the cessation of land use, as well as monitoring the state of green spaces in the city.
