OREANDA-NEWS   Flooding due to the spring floods is expected in 2025 in several regions of Russia, including Ufa, Leningrad and Novgorod regions. Roman Vilfand, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, urged residents to prepare for the consequences of river flooding, Izvestia writes.

The forecaster noted that in the European part of the country, the flood will hardly affect. Flooding is expected in the Orenburg region on the Ural River and its tributaries, as well as in the Murmansk, Leningrad and Novgorod regions. Vilfand predicts an increased likelihood of dangerous consequences in Ufa and the Kirov region, where outbuildings may be flooded.

According to the meteorologist, the Samara, Sverdlovsk and Omsk regions, Yakutia and the Trans-Baikal Territory are also in the risk zone. Low places may be under water in the Khabarovsk Territory and in Chukotka, Wilfand warned and clarified that the phenomenon will be observed mainly in April.

Earlier, the weather forecaster said that the 15-degree heat in Moscow will be replaced by frosts. The cold snap will come on the weekend of March 15-16, when Moscow will be in the rear of the cyclone. These days, the temperature in the capital will drop by 7-8 degrees at once.
