OREANDA-NEWS  Rostec has begun state tests of the BT-3F armored personnel carrier, which was developed for the Marine Corps. The state corporation announced this on Telegram.

"Our High-Precision Complexes holding company has announced that the BT-3F floating armored personnel carrier, based on the BMP-3, has reached the state testing stage. The equipment must confirm the specified tactical and technical characteristics on land and in water in various climatic zones, as well as pass firing tests from the spot, on the move and afloat," the report says.

The tracked vehicle can transport up to 12 foremen with equipment. The BT-3F is equipped with a remote-controlled combat module with a heavy machine gun, a thermal imager and a laser rangefinder. In addition, the BT-3F is equipped with a trailer hitch.

Earlier in May, it became known that the High-Precision Complexes holding had supplied a new batch of BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles with additional protection to the troops. The equipment received lattice screens to protect the hull and braziers covering the tower.
