OREANDA-NEWS The first plane landed at the airport of the Vostochny cosmodrome in the Amur Region during a runway readiness check, Roscosmos reported.

"The Tu-134 aircraft of the state aviation Corporation Roscosmos landed at the Vostochny Cosmodrome airport during a test flight to check the technical readiness of its runway. This was the first landing of the aircraft at Vostochny Airport," the message says.

It is noted that the aircraft was piloted by an experienced crew of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (CPC, part of Roscosmos) led by the commander of the joint aviation detachment Vadim Yunders. The crew also worked out one of the exercises to prepare for approach and landing at the airfield with limited use of radio equipment.

At the airport, the plane was prepared for re-departure, and after a short stay, it went to Blagoveshchensk (Amur region).
