OREANDA-NEWS The trade turnover between Russia and China may grow by 10-15% by the end of 2026, including due to increased cooperation in the field of science and technology, Ekaterina Novikova, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, commented to RIA Novosti.

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in China on an official visit on May 19. Talks between the President of Russia and Chinese President Xi Jinping took place in Beijing on Wednesday. During the talks, Putin noted the good dynamics of Russian-Chinese economic cooperation.

According to the Chinese customs, the trade turnover between China and Russia in January-April 2026 increased by 19.7% compared to the same period last year, amounting to $ 85.241 billion.
