OREANDA-NEWS  .The decision of the Russian authorities to ban the export of aviation kerosene was quite expected against the background of the situation around the Strait of Hormuz. This was stated by the editor-in-chief of the AVIA portal.Roman Gusarov. He was quoted by KP Radio.

He noted that Russia has met the needs of the domestic market for this fuel, but rising global prices are fraught with additional risks. The point is that suppliers are tempted to send kerosene to foreign markets in order to extract more significant profits. But the state strives to ensure that the country has sufficient reserves of this fuel. Therefore, in order for it not to go to more expensive markets, and for the country to have price stability, an export ban was introduced.

Earlier it became known that the Russian government imposed a temporary ban on the export of aviation kerosene. The restrictive measure entered into force on June 1 and will remain in effect until the end of November 2026.
