OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the allocation of 500 million rubles in 2023-2024 for measures to reduce the cost of package tours on domestic Russian routes. This was reported on Friday on the website of the government.

From the materials of the Cabinet of Ministers, it follows that we are talking about a program to support tour operators organizing charter flights within the country. In 2023, 250 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes. The same amount is provided for in 2024.

This program has been implemented by the Russian government since 2021 as part of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry". It will be valid until 2024 inclusive.

"In 2022, 70 Russian regions took part in it," the press service of the Cabinet noted.
