OREANDA-NEWS The Chinese city of Fuyuan has received the right to issue visas to Russians upon their arrival. This information was shared by Ekaterina Puntusova, the Minister of Tourism of the Khabarovsk Territory, in her Telegram channel.

"For many years, tours to the Chinese border city have been popular. The flow of tourists from Fuyuan accounted for most of the foreign tourists coming to the Khabarovsk Territory," the minister stressed.

According to her, a meeting with a delegation from China took place in the capital of the Khabarovsk Territory. More detailed information will be provided by the Chinese side in the near future. International voice transportation will resume in May-June. The parties also exchanged lists of travel agencies that will work under the visa-free regime.

Fuyuan is located 65 km from Khabarovsk and was popular among Russian tourists before the pandemic. The city can be reached via the Amur River in an hour and a half from Khabarovsk.

In 2018, 47,351 people visited Fuyuan through the Khabarovsk Crossing during the season of international river cruises. During the winter season, there is an air service between the cities. Khabarovsk, in turn, received 5,000 citizens from China.
