The cost of improving demography in the draft budget for three years will exceed 10 trillion rubles

OREANDA-NEWS The draft budget submitted to the government for the next three years provides for measures to improve demography, including the payment of maternity capital, as well as family payments in the form of reimbursement of part of personal income tax.
"The most important area of the budget is measures to increase demography. The "children's budget" for three years will exceed 10 trillion rubles," says the document submitted to the government by the Ministry of Finance.
Thus, starting in 2026, it is planned to provide an annual family payment (in the form of reimbursement of a portion of the personal income tax paid) to Russian citizens with two or more children (taking into account the criterion of need).
It is also planned to implement the maternity capital program until 2030 with an indexation for the inflation rate and provide families with children with the opportunity to receive the remaining funds of the maternity capital without determining the purpose of their use. The total amount for these tasks in three years will amount to more than 1.8 trillion rubles.
"In addition, more than 2 trillion rubles have been taken into account for programs to improve housing provision for families with children - subsidizing mortgage interest rates for all families with children (about 1.8 trillion rubles), as well as one-time payments (450 thousand rubles) to large families (with three or more children) for partial mortgage repayment (more than 300 billion rubles)," the document explains.
