OREANDA-NEWS  The gas pipeline in Koreiz was damaged, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Crimea Igor Mikhailichenko said early in the morning.

According to the official, the accident left about 500 local subscribers without gas. The circumstances under which the gas pipeline was damaged are still unknown.

"Emergency services are working on the spot. Gas supply will be restored by the end of the day," the official promised.

As reported by ForPost, three months ago, in March 2023, a similar case almost happened in the capital of Crimea. Then unknown people tried to damage the gas pipeline in Simferopol, but, fortunately, they failed.

In addition to incidents with gas pipelines in the Crimea, accidents on the railway have been regularly occurring in recent months. The last time, we recall, the railway track was damaged just a few days ago in the area of Feodosia, before that in early June – in the Kirovsky district: then train traffic had to be stopped for several hours.
