OREANDA-NEWS A thematic Digitalization Day was held at the Rosneft pavilion at VDNH, during which the company presented its latest developments and digital solutions used in the process of oil and gas production.

During the thematic day in the format of popular science lectures, Rosneft specialists told the guests of the pavilion about ground and air laser scanning technologies, the introduction of virtual reality into production processes, as well as the use of 3D modeling in production.

Specialists from the corporate Izhevsk Scientific Institute presented artificial intelligence tools that help develop oil and gas fields, and their colleagues from the Ufa Institute told about a large-scale Marathon of IT competitions — a unique fusion of science, digitalization and sports excitement. In addition, employees of the Krasnoyarsk Scientific Institute of the Company presented their own developments in the field of automation and business processes. Quizzes with memorable prizes were waiting for all the lecture listeners.

In between lectures, pavilion guests could compete with artificial intelligence in the game "Challenge artificial Intelligence", which was developed using a unique simulator "PH Neural Network". According to the rules of the game, the competitors must place wells in a virtual field in such a way as to extract the maximum amount of oil. Up to five minutes are allowed per turn. After the player's turn, the neural network makes its turn in an average of one and a half minutes. The winner is determined by the volume of oil produced.

Throughout the day, the pavilion hosted an exhibition of unique robotic complexes for the diagnosis of petrochemical equipment. Rosneft specialists demonstrated robots that make it possible to quickly and safely inspect the internal and external surfaces of reactors for the production of high-density polyethylene in factories.

Also, as part of the Digitalization Day in the pavilion of the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, Bashneft specialists (part of Rosneft) presented the Digital Field project. The guests of the pavilion were introduced to the "digital twins" of the deposits, the latest mobile devices equipped with an intelligent monitoring system, as well as other unique developments. The project has already been implemented at Bashneft's Ilishevsky field in Bashkiria, as well as at Uvatneftegaz facilities in the Tyumen Region.
