OREANDA-NEWS The European Union (EU) has informed the administration of US President Donald Trump of its unwillingness to recognize Crimea as Russian territory. This was reported by The Financial Times (FT) newspaper with reference to European officials.

"The Trump administration has already been told that it will be impossible for European capitals to recognize Crimea as Russian," said one of the interlocutors of the publication, stressing that the Europeans will try to convince Trump on this issue.

Earlier, Trump avoided answering a question about the prospect of recognizing Crimea as Russian. "I want the conflict to end. I want to make a deal and save lives," he said.
