OREANDA-NEWS  The foreign ministers of Russia, Syria and Turkey may meet in Moscow on Wednesday, January 11. 

According to her, the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who visited Damascus on January 4 and met with Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, may join the trilateral meeting. According to the agreement reached, the talks in Moscow should pave the way for a summit with the participation of the presidents of the Russian Federation, Syria and Turkey, the newspaper writes.

According to him, the UAE has offered a platform for such a summit. If the trilateral summit is held in Moscow, a high-ranking Emirati representative may take part in it.

The newspaper reported that contacts are being held to organize a meeting in Geneva on January 23 of representatives of four states (the UAE, Russia, Syria and Turkey) with the UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen. The Norwegian diplomat plans to pay a visit to Damascus at the end of January and meet with the head of the Syrian Foreign Ministry, Faisal Mikdad.
