OREANDA-NEWS A man was convicted of espionage in the Kherson region. About this reported in the prosecutor's office of the region.
He was found guilty under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Espionage"). As the court found, in October 2023, a 34-year-old local resident, being a citizen of Ukraine, collected information on the movement and locations of Russian military equipment and personnel in the Kherson region. He transferred the received data to another person, who then reported the data to a representative of the Ukrainian intelligence service.
The court sentenced him to 11 years in a high-security penal colony.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian was sentenced to 14 years in prison for working for a foreign country.
