OREANDA-NEWS  The FSB reported on the detention in the Omsk region of a Belarusian citizen involved in the bombing of railway trains transporting petroleum products in Buryatia.

"During the events held in the Omsk region, a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, born in 1971, was detained, who committed explosions on November 29 and 30, 2023, of two trains with petroleum products following the routes "Taishet-Tynda" and "Taishet-Neryungri" along the Baikal-Amur mainline in the Republic of Buryatia," the special service said.

The FSB reported that confessions of the detainee had been received "about the seizure, on the instructions of a citizen of Belarus, born in 1981, living in Lithuania and operating under the control of the Ukrainian special services, of eight explosive devices from a cache, their delivery by private car to Buryatia and laying on the tanks of freight trains."

When following the trains in the Severomuysky BAM tunnel and along its bypass route, explosive devices went off, which led to a fire in fuel tanks and a temporary blockage of traffic along the transport highway, the FSB reported.
