OREANDA-NEWS  In Pyatigorsk, the FSB prevented a terrorist attack outside the prosecutor's office and detained a citizen of one of the Central Asian countries. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Center for Public Relations of the FSB of Russia.

The person involved is a man born in 2001. He is a supporter of the International terrorist organization (ITO), which is banned in Russia.

According to law enforcement officials, the man acted under the coordination of a functionary from Syria. He planned to carry out an explosion remotely near the building of the city prosecutor's office. He scouted the territory, bought the components necessary to make a bomb, and after the attack planned to leave for Syria and join the ranks of a terrorist organization.

Earlier, the FSB showed the detention of a 63-year-old man who was preparing a terrorist attack against an official from the Kharkiv region in Belgorod.
