OREANDA-NEWS  From February 1, 2023, some social benefits in Russia will be indexed by 11.9%. The resolution is published on the official portal of legal acts.

"To establish an indexation coefficient of 1.119 for payments, allowances and compensations from February 1, 2023," the document says.

This amount will increase: maternity capital; allowances for families with children; payments to heroes, disabled people and veterans; payments to liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster or other accidents; burial allowances. In Russia, since 2018, a single procedure for indexing social benefits has been established — once a year from February 1. The indexation amount is calculated from the actual consumer price index for the previous year.

Last year, social benefits were indexed by 8.4%, in 2021 their growth was 4.9%, in 2020 benefits and payments increased by 3%, and in 2019 — by 4.3%.
