OREANDA-NEWS Russian farmers are provided with all the necessary fuels and lubricants during seasonal field work, and the issue itself is under constant control of federal and regional authorities. This is stated in a message on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The agency, citing data from the Ministry of Energy, stressed that motor fuel supplies are carried out normally in volumes that fully meet the needs of agricultural producers.
Thus, the ministry refuted the data of a number of media outlets about the difficulties experienced by farmers with the purchase of fuel. In particular, Forbes, citing market participants, noted that many agricultural producers, especially from the south of the country, have to look for fuel in other regions and overpay for it.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, recurring difficulties are dealt with promptly, and interagency coordination helps reduce the risks of disruptions, ensure predictable supplies and stable seasonal field work.
"The Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Energy, in cooperation with the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), are systematically monitoring prices and ensuring fuel availability for farmers, including at the level of end suppliers," the agency concluded.
Earlier it was reported that the cost of diesel fuel on the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange on Monday, June 15, soared by 6.32 percent to 77,177 rubles per ton, which was a historic high.
