OREANDA-NEWS  The head of the Gagauz Autonomous Region of Moldova, Evgenia Gutsul, is currently on a working trip to Moscow, according to RIA Novosti.

During her recent visit to Russia, Gutsul held meetings with the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, as well as other representatives of the Russian government. Additionally, she participated in the World Youth Festival in Sochi and held talks with leaders from various regions of Russia with whom Gagauzia has established partnerships.

Gutsul expressed her intention to expand economic, social, and cultural cooperation with the Krasnodar Territory and Penza Region. She also discussed the political situation in Moldova with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the festival, according to a spokesperson for the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, who confirmed this information.
