OREANDA-NEWS The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have struck at Russian drilling platforms. This was announced by the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov in his Telegram channel.

"This morning, the enemy struck the drilling platforms of Chernomorneftegaz. I am in touch with colleagues from the Ministry of Defense and the FSB, we are working on saving people," Aksenov said.

According to the head of the Crimea, three people were injured as a result of the strike. The search for several workers is still ongoing. Aksenov added that patrol vessels and aircraft are involved in the rescue operation.

"We will keep everyone up to date," Aksenov summed up.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired on a Russian village bordering Ukraine. One person was injured — he did not need hospitalization, he received a slight shrapnel wound of soft tissues.

The special operation on demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine began on February 24 — it was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He called its main goal the protection of residents of the republics of Donbass. On June 17, the head of state said that the decision to conduct the operation was forced and difficult, but necessary.
