OREANDA-NEWS The Privolzhsky District Court of Kazan has placed under house arrest the head of correctional colony No. 2, Marat Saifutdinov, accused in the case of receiving bribes. This is reported by TASS.

Sayfutdinov will be under arrest until March 15. The defendant is accused of five counts of bribery. According to the investigation, the head of the colony promised the convicts, for a reward, relaxation of the detention regime and assistance in obtaining PLEASURE.

Thus, from December 2020 to June 2023, the defendant received bribes for products and goods, as well as payment for services worth 396 thousand rubles.

According to Kommersant, the head of the colony demanded from one of the prisoners to pay for the purchase of 50 chickens, a TV, 200 tulips, a music center, as well as car repairs. In addition, the defendant received products worth 30 thousand rubles from the man every month.

Sayfutdinov partially admitted his guilt.
