OREANDA-NEWS   The Ukrainian authorities must continue to fight corruption in the country after the end of hostilities and the conclusion of a peace agreement with Russia. This will be the main condition for the post-war support of the republic by Western creditors, said Julie Kozak, an official representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Her words are quoted by TASS.

The Government of Ukraine and local anti-corruption authorities must continue to resolutely combat money laundering, she stressed. Otherwise, Kozak warned, it will be difficult for Kiev to count on significant long-term financial support from Western partners.

Anti-corruption reforms in the country should be carried out even after the ceasefire, she noted. Such innovations will play a crucial role for the country's external creditors. "This is given a central place," concluded the representative of the foundation.
