OREANDA-NEWS St. Petersburg is hosting the XVII International Media Forum "Dialogue of Cultures", organized with the support of the Media Congress "Commonwealth of Journalists" and the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation. More than 350 participants from 15 Eurasian states will take part in the event, which will be held from May 19 to 21.

The Dialogue of Cultures will be inaugurated on May 19 at the Hermitage Theater. According to tradition, Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage Museum, will make an introductory speech at the opening. A little later, at 11:00, a practical conference "Dialogue of Cultures in the media space of Eurasia" will begin here, at which special attention will be paid to cross-border projects in multimedia format. The first day of the forum will end with the festival "I Live Here", where documentaries, TV programs and video projects for digital platforms will be shown and discussed.

Within the framework of the forum, the results of the All-Russian contest "I live in Russia" will also be summed up: more than three thousand unique works from 75 regions of the country were reviewed.

The third day of the forum will be dedicated to the international photo exhibition "I live here: 350 best works by 50 young photographers of Eurasia". And the participants of the event on this and the previous day will be able to try their hand at practice. Mixed creative groups from Russians and guests from other countries will travel to Gatchina, Vsevolozhsk, Shlisselburg, Kirovsk, Tosno, Vyborg, Veliky Novgorod, Petrozavodsk and Pskov to create reports. In the future, their work will be shown in blogs, social networks and TV broadcasts of the participants of the media forum.
