OREANDA-NEWS The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation qualified the shelling of the Armed Forces of Belgorod as a terrorist act. This was reported to journalists by the press service of the UK.

"The Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia has opened a criminal case on the facts of the incident on the grounds of a crime under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist act)," the department said.

The Chairman of the IC, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to identify all those responsible for crimes against civilians, including those who gave criminal orders to fire at civilians and infrastructure. "The actions of each person involved will be given a legal assessment," the UK reported.

Investigators and criminologists from the central office of the Investigative Committee are currently working at the scene.
