OREANDA-NEWS  The Japanese government will continue to closely monitor the development of the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh and once again calls on all parties involved to adhere to diplomacy in resolving differences, Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa said during a press conference.

"After the beginning of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, I immediately issued a statement calling on Azerbaijan to stop military actions. After that, as far as we know, a ceasefire agreement was reached between Azerbaijan and the organization of ethnic Armenians. Japan will continue to closely monitor the development of the situation around the population in this region and the development of the situation in general," the Minister said.

Kamikawa also reiterated her call "for all parties involved to use the means of dialogue to resolve issues around the region in a peaceful manner."
