OREANDA-NEWS  The decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin not to participate in the G20 summit is connected with his schedule and the need to stay in Russia.

"It was the decision of the head of state connected with his schedule, connected with the need for his stay in the Russian Federation," Peskov said, answering a question from journalists why the Russian leader decided not to attend the G20 summit.

The G20 summit will be held in Bali on November 15-16. Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti that the head of the department, Sergey Lavrov, will lead the Russian delegation at the summit.

The schedule of Russian President Vladimir Putin for the next week is busy, said the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves. It is quite saturated. We will inform you in a timely manner," Peskov said, answering a question from journalists.
