The Kremlin commented on the situation with 11 Russians in the Baku pre-trial detention center

OREANDA-NEWS Russian diplomats are closely monitoring the situation with 11 Russians who remain in the Baku pre-trial detention center, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Earlier, in the responses of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to questions received by the press conference of the head of the department, Sergey Lavrov, following the results of Russian diplomacy in 2025, it was reported that 11 more people remain in the Baku pre-trial detention center, and options for their release are being worked out in cooperation with law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation and other departments.
"The Russians are still in the Baku pre-trial detention center. Of course, our diplomatic department is monitoring this situation very closely in terms of protecting the interests of Russian citizens," Peskov told reporters when asked if there was information about Russian citizens who are in the Baku pre-trial detention center.
