OREANDA-NEWS   At the moment, the European Union (EU) has not taken any official steps to launch a negotiation process with Russia and has not sent relevant proposals to Moscow. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.

"No, they didn't," the Kremlin spokesman replied to a question.

At the same time, Peskov stressed that the European Union has no initiative in negotiations, despite the alleged search for intermediaries for this process.

Earlier, the EU's high representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Kallas, said that the European Union should not succumb to Russia's alleged attempts to impose a discussion on who exactly will represent Europe in possible negotiations with Moscow.
