OREANDA-NEWS  During the telephone conversation, the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, did not raise the possibility of a personal meeting, but "this idea is in the air." This was announced by the Russian leader's assistant for international affairs, Yuri Ushakov, TASS reports.

"The possibility of a meeting was not discussed. But you know perfectly well that this idea is hanging in the air and, if necessary, a specific agreement will be reached on this. This time, this topic was not touched upon," the politician said.

Earlier, Ushakov said that Trump, in a conversation with his Russian counterpart, raised the issue of an early cessation of hostilities in Ukraine.

The telephone conversation between the leaders of the two countries took place on July 3 and lasted about an hour. "The almost hour—long regular conversation between Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and US President Donald Trump has just ended," Ushakov said.
